B.A English and Communicative English is a bachelor of arts programme in English and Communicative English, which gives equal weightage to English literature and language. It is a three year programme in six semesters, providing a detailed study of the history of English language and literature. Inter disciplinary in nature, the programme offers a variety of subjects such as Reading Skills, Applied Phonetics, Conversational English, Remedial Grammer, Print Media and Journalism, Copy Editing, Translation Studies, American Literature, Creative Writing, Women’s Writing and Business Communication.
Academic Benefit:
The programme which adopts a holistic approach aims to develop inter personnel skills, business vocabulary, business writing and non-verbal communication, besides offering practice sessions in English communication, presentations, seminars, mock interviews, discussions, debates, etiquette and personal grooming.
Eligibility to apply :
The minimum eligibility to apply for the programme is a pass in the higher secondary school certificate examination from a recognized board.
